Radial option
-------------
On leaving the factory, the switch marked "R" of SW1 is set in the
ON position ... lever up and the transfer of control signals to and
from the drive is enabled only when the address of DRIVE SELECT 1, 2,
3, or 4 matches the drive address (daisy-chain operation) defined by
the drive select signal from the controller.
When this switch is in the OFF position ... lever down, the transfer
of control signals is enabled regardless of the DRIVE SELECT signal
(radial operation).
When the "R" option is used, the "Drive Selected" indicator lamp on
the front of the drive does not light. To make this lamp light, a
DRIVE SELECT signal shall be applied.
Terminators
-----------
To provide termination for the last unit, termination switch of SW1
should be set in the ON position. On all other units, the termination
switch of SW1 should be set in the OFF position.

UNACCEPTABLE! UNACCEPTABLE!
When installing the drive in its final location, particular attention
must be paid to the following points.
1. Adequate ventilation must be provided to allow any
heat generated to dissipate.
Cooling air is recommended for 6 cfm.
2. Adequate disk enclosure swing space (minimum 2mm) must be
provided.
3. Serviceability
4. The drive must be installed so oas to put no under strain on the
units frame.
J1/P1 Connector - Control Signals
---------------------------------
Connection to J1 is via a 34 pin PCB edge connector. The pins are
numbered 1 through 34 with the even pins located on the component
side of the circuit board and the odd numbers on the soldered side.
There is a key slot between pins 4 and 6.
Mating Connector 3M ribbon connector P/N 3463-0001 or equivalent
J2/P2 Connector - Data Signals
------------------------------
Connection to J2 is via a 20 pin PCB edge connector. The pins are
numbered 1 through 20 with the even pins located on the component
side of the circuit board. There is key slot between pins 4 and 6.
Mating Connector 3M ribbon connetor P/N 3461-0001 or equivalent
J3/P3 Connector - DC Power
--------------------------
The connector J3 is a DC-power connector. With this drive, a P/N
350211-1 AMP Mate-N-Lock connector (or equivalent) is mounted.
Mating Connector AMP P/N 1-480424-0 (housing)
Utilizing Contacts AMP P/N 61473-1 (pin connector)
Frame Ground Connector
----------------------
With this drive, the DC ground for the PCB and the disk enclosure are
connected. The ground connector for this drive is a AMP P/N 61761-2
(or equivalent). The recommended mating connector is AMP P/N 62187-1.

MITSUBI. MR335 PRODUCT SPECIFICATION IB-67125-A MARCH 1989
Features
--------
This highly-reliable fixed disk drive contain 3.5" fixed disks. The
MR335 series provides large capacity and high speed, up to 54.1MB and
a seek time of 20 ms, in a small compact drive. The series employs
many aspects of "Winchester" technology such as the disk, head,
shield enclosure and a clean air circulation system. To achieve
accurate positioning a servo system controlled by a microprocessor is
is utilized.
Seek Time
---------
+----------------------------------+--------+
|Track-to-Track msec. typ. | 5 |
+----------------------------------+--------+
|Average msec. typ. | 20 |
| msec. max. | 40 |
+----------------------------------+--------+
|Latency msec. avg. | 8.33 |
+----------------------------------+--------+
Air Filtration
--------------
Elimination rate of better than 99.97% for dust particles of greater
than 0.3 m. Effects of changes in altitude, atmospheric pressure, and
temperature are eliminated by using a breather filter. Maintenance of
the main filter is unnecessary.
Positioning method
------------------
Voice coil motor positioning using a dedicated servo platter.
Media defects
-------------
Less than 10 in a disk surface
Less than 1 in 1 MBytes of the Drive
No defects on Zero cylinder
