 Indicator
 ---------
The indicator on the front bezel shall be kept lit after the HDD
responds to a selection from an initiator, and before it completes
 the execution of the command.

 Parity Strap
 ------------
The S3 on the PCBA is used asa parity strap. When the S3 is shorted
with a plug, the input data (DB0 to DB7, DBP) shall be parity checked
(odd) by the HDD. When the S3 is open, no parity check shall be
 executed. Factory setting: S3 shorted.

How to Set the SCSI ID
 ----------------------
The SCSI ID shall be set with the individual straps of SP, S0, S1,
 and S2 on the PCBA.
The SP strap is to reserve the setting logic for S0, S1 and S2.

Any of the four directions can be used.

The mounting cabinet for the HDD should be constructed so that no
distortion may be produced in the chassis.

A space of at least 1.5mm should also be allowed each of the HDA and
 PCBA.

An insulation sheet should be stuck to the PCBA mounting face of the
 HDD mounting cabinet, as required.

In each mounted position, the front can be raised by up to 30*.
Mounting positions other than those shown must be discussed
 separately.

 System Configuration
 --------------------
Up to eight SCSI devices can be connected to the SCSI bus, including
initiators and targets. The SCSI devices mean devices provided with
interfaces which comply with the SCSI standard. The HDD is always
operated as a target, and it can be used in any configuration
 (a, b, c).

The SCSI devices are allocated with SCSI IDs, which correspond to
the individual bits of the data bus.

With the HDD, SCSI IDs are set by strap connections on the PCB. The
priority is determined among the SCSI IDs; SCSI ID = 7 is the highest
priority, and SCSI ID = 0 is the lowest priority.

be specified by the MODE SELECT command.

 Sense data
 ----------
The HDD shall be provided with Extended Sense Data format only.

 VLD (Valid)
The VLD specifies whether or not the Information Byte is valid. When
the VLD is one (1), it indicates that the Information Byte is valid.

The Error Class is always set to "7", which indicates that the Sense
Data is the Extended Sense Data.

 ERROR CODE
The error code is always set to zero (0), which indicates that the
Sense Data is described in the Extended Dat aformat.

 SENSE KEYS
The Sense Keys indicate the outline of error contents.

 ADDITIONAL SENSE LENGTH
The Additional Sense Length specifies the number of Additional Sense
Bytes to follow. This is set to 0BH in the HDD.

 ADDITIONAL SENSE CODE
The Additional Sense Code indicates error coded information.
